Support through grief, loss
and bereavement

I have extensive experience supporting people through bereavement and many other forms of loss.

Bereavement

Bereavement can affect people in very different ways. The death of someone important may bring sadness, shock, anger, guilt, relief, numbness or a mixture of emotions that can change over time.

Grief does not follow a fixed pattern, and there is no correct way to respond. Even when a death was expected, the reality of the loss can feel very different from anything imagined beforehand.

Counselling can offer a private space to talk about the person who has died, the circumstances surrounding the loss and the impact it is having on your life.

Loss

Loss can take many forms. It may involve the end of a relationship, changes to work, health, identity, financial security or a hoped-for future. Even when no one has died, the impact can still feel profound.

Some losses are visible to others, while others may be harder to explain or recognise. You may feel sadness, anger, regret, uncertainty or a sense that part of your identity has changed.

Counselling can help you understand what the loss means to you, process the emotions around it and begin to adjust to what has changed.

There is support

Grief can bring many different emotions, including sadness, anger, numbness, guilt, relief or confusion. You do not have to make sense of everything on your own.

Counselling offers a private space to talk about your loss, how it has affected you and what you may need as you adjust to what has changed.

My experience of grief is both professional and personal. If you feel that support would be helpful, you are welcome to contact me for a free consultation call.
